The General Superintendent is the senior field operations leader responsible for the overall execution, safety, quality, and consistency of construction operations across all projects in the Atlanta market. This role provides strategic leadership, oversight, and mentorship to Superintendents and Senior Superintendents, ensuring H. J. Russell’s standards for safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction are consistently achieved. The General Superintendent is responsible for and directs all field-related functions, including logistics, planning, design-assist, safety, documentation and all closeout functions. The General Super will coordinate with Business Development, Marketing, Pre-Construction, Estimating, Scheduling, Human Resources and Project Management.
The General Superintendent serves as the primary steward of field excellence, aligning field operations with company goals, operational standards, and risk management practices while developing the next generation of field leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Group. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with RUSSELL's policies and applicable laws: including planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising personnel performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Production experience with Microsoft Suite, Primavera P6, CMiC and Procore. OSHA 30 certified.
