Colonial Behavioral Health (CBH) provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their families affected by mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a General Services Technician to join our General Services Department. This position is responsible for maintaining agency facilities and grounds in a clean, safe, functional, and well-maintained condition. The successful candidate will perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks while providing responsive and reliable support to agency programs and employees.
Examples of duties
Job Responsibilities
- Perform general and detailed maintenance and repair work throughout agency facilities and grounds.
- Complete interior and exterior painting, including routine touch-ups and other finish work.
- Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs and adjustments.
- Conduct routine daily inspections of assigned buildings, grounds, and work areas to identify maintenance, safety, and repair needs.
- Respond to General Services work requests and tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Accurately document completed work, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, work areas, and assigned facilities in a safe and orderly condition.
- Assist with grounds maintenance and other facility-related tasks as needed.
- Prioritize and complete regularly scheduled and assigned work within established deadlines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Full-Time Monday–Friday Standard Business Hours
Work hours may vary based on agency and program needs.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to perform general facilities maintenance and make minor repairs and adjustments to building fixtures, systems, and equipment.
- Working knowledge and practical skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and grounds maintenance
- Ability to prioritize assignments and consistently meet established deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and functional facilities.
- Ability to identify maintenance and safety concerns and respond appropriately.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with agency staff and service providers.
- Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record at hire and throughout employment is required
- Experience performing skilled trades or facilities maintenance work in one or more areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
