Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.
We are currently recruiting for a General Services Tech position within our General Services Department. This position will provide general and detailed maintenance to the building and grounds of the agency such that facilities are clean and safe.
Examples of duties
Job Responsibilities
- Provides general and detailed maintenance as assigned.
- Performs interior and exterior painting and/or touch ups.
- Performs minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC work.
- Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.
- Responds to General Services Tickets and completes documentation for worked performed in a timely manner.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
This is a Full-Time position Monday-Friday (day hours).
Hours may vary based on program needs.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to meet deadlines of regularly scheduled jobs.
- Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to building fixtures and equipment.
- Ability to perform facilities maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record at hire and throughout employment is required
- Experience performing trades work in one or more areas, or any combination of equivalent education and experience required
