
General Service Technician - Mechanic - Per Diem
Shift: Per-Diem (All hours, All-Days, As-needed)
The General Service Technician - Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of hospital building systems and mechanical equipment to ensure a safe, reliable, and compliant healthcare environment. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, electric motors, generators, air compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and other facility infrastructure. The Maintenance Mechanic utilizes diagnostic tools, interprets blueprints and technical schematics, and identifies root causes of equipment failures to minimize downtime and support continuous hospital operations.
The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of building systems, CMMS experience, and familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations. Responsibilities require the ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively to routine and emergency maintenance needs. Technical or vocational training in mechanics, experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Compensation Range:
$36.21- $57.38
