Position Schedule / Shift:Service center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., andSaturday,8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Schedule and shift assignments will depend on the position.
As a General Service Technician,you’llperform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery services, and other preventive maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in automotive repair, with opportunities to develop technical skills and gain experience working alongside experienced technicians. Success in this position requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a focus on delivering quality service to customers in a fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
In an efficient and productive manner, performs basic automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlinedonrepair order for which technician is trained.
Oil changes, tire replacement and repairs, general maintenance repairs are expected to be learned and performed.
Drives vehicles into service bay, prepares themforand completes digital vehicle inspection.
Test drives vehicles and preparesvehiclefor delivery tocustomerafter necessary repairs and maintenance.
Maintains cleanliness of shop and work areas, performs otherdutiesas necessary.
Qualifications
Required
High School diploma, GED, and/or technical school graduatecertification
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Noworkingexperiencerequired
Mechanical aptitude isrequired
Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of usually basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles.
Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance, as well as the need to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores.
Preferred
G1-Auto Maintenance & Light Repair preferred
State inspection certificate, where applicable
AC 609 Certification
Must have their own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the center.
Work Environment
May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.
This position involves standing, walking, and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting, and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight)
Must be able to work in the heat, as some locations do not have air conditioning. Fans are present in all facilities.
Must be able to maintain working on your feet in a concrete facility for the entire work shift.

Compensation
General Service Technician will earn a competitive hourly rate of $15 - $17 with annual bonus potential based on performance.

Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and willaccrueat a minimum of 3 hours per month.
Paid Holidays:
Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floatingholidays,and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
