General Repair Technician (General Repair)

Boeing Netherlands BV is looking for a B1 Technician to join the Boeing maintenance team located at Woensdrecht Air Force Base in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance work of all levels on AH-64 Apache and CH-47 Chinook helicopters in accordance with prescribed airworthiness standards;

  • Ensures work is carried out to the highest standard and ensuring the safety of the aircraft at all times;

  • Ensures that all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis;

  • Ensures work is carried out to the highest standard and ensuring the safety of the aircraft at all times;

  • Ensures the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials;

  • Adheres to all company, regulatory and Health and Safety procedures;

  • Has the ability to read and comply with repairs and instructions from the relevant manuals/engineering instructions;

  • Be highly motivated, a great team player with a high level of attention to detail ;

  • Performs troubleshooting and repairs all systems as required;

  • Ensures compliance with technical and regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures, and within the scope of company approvals;

  • Promote a Just Culture, adhere to company Health & Safety policies, and report all incidents and occurrences through the Company Safety Management System;

  • Assists in training newly assigned personnel as required;

  • Applies good housekeeping practices, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times;

  • Actively participates in the Safety Program.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

  • Hold a valid EASA or MAR-145 Part 66 B1 license;

  • Has the ability to inspect, assemble, modify, and repair the different avionics systems including troubleshooting as required;

  • Basic knowledge of EASA and HSE (ARBO) legislation;

  • Basic knowledge of the NLD-MAR-145 and HSE (ARBO) legislation;

  • Basic SAP knowledge required to complete electronic aircraft data records;

  • Have the right to work in Europe without restriction;

  • Ability to obtain Security investigation (level B) from the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) Netherlands BIV;

  • Fluent knowledge of English and Dutch is required for this position.

  • Relevant working experience of minimal 3 years

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience on armament systems is a plus;

  • Experience in the inspections, and repairs on the AH-64 Apache and/or CH-47 Chinook type helicopter is a plus;

  • Experience in a military environment is a plus.

  • Completion of a Civil Aviation Apprenticeship, Armed Forces Aircraft training or Basic Engineering Apprenticeship

Relocation: This position does NOT offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
