
We are recruiting a highly competent and professional General Purpose Dog Handler to join our Patrol and Response Team. In this role, you will conduct targeted and responsive patrols to support our clients across a range of functions, including lock-up duties, proactive estate patrols, lone-worker support, and alarm response.
General Purpose Dog Handlersand their Patrol and Response Officer counterpartsare key frontline members of the team and report directly to the Regional Operations Officer You will typically be vehicle-based, deploying from Salisbury, and performing a variety of duties across a typical 12-hour shift.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, confidence, and sound judgement, with the ability to remain calm, proportionate, and decisive, often under pressure.
Requirements and Skills
NASDU Certification, or a recognised equivalent qualification.
Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
First Aid at Work (3-day) qualification, or willingness to obtain this.
Proven professional experience as a security officer or dog handler.
Strong written communication skills and confidence in report writing.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent situational awareness, decision-making ability, and personal integrity.
