Under direct supervision, this Entry-level position(s) performs repetitive production support operations using hand tools and associated machinery and equipment to assist in the manufacturing of JELD-WEN products including Door Skins, and all other JELD-WEN-related building products.
Responsibilities and Duties
General Production support personnel assist in every facet of the operation, as directed by management, to achieve the goals and objectives of JELD-WEN products as written above and are involved in every phase of production from beginning to end.
They gather the necessary materials, use the appropriate hand tools, and operate applicable machinery and equipment in the various plants while assisting in the achievement of production goals, quotas, and objectives.
Some responsibilities include but are not limited to, operating machinery and affixing parts and support mechanisms to the product; trimming operations; painting both rough and finished products; wrapping, boxing, stacking, and packaging machined products, label and tallying them accordingly to match appropriate paperwork; make necessary repairs to the product and load them where applicable.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to appropriate plant personnel including, the direct supervisor, or inspection or quality control personnel.
Safety Compliance – Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing job tasks. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Conforms with safety regulations per plant policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, the use of safety glasses, ear plugs, masks, steel-toed boots/shoes, and associated safety equipment on the plant floor.
Cleanliness and organization – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including storage spaces. Ensure tools and equipment are safely stored after each use.
Consistently lift up to 50lbs
Staging and packaging of finished product for delivery.
Other general duties as required by the management staff.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed to fumes, cleaning solutions, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises. All safety protocols including OSHA guidelines as mentioned above are mandatory.
