Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Strategic Sourcing/Contract Management & General Supply Chain, theGeneral Procurement Internperforms a variety of duties and activities related toRFP/RFQ analysis, ERP system data entry,supplierinformation management,andcontracts system data entrywithin the Supply Chain DepartmentParticipate in on-the-job training and review documentation to ensure accuracy. Responsibleformaintainingaclean, orderly,andsafe working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Validatesupplierinformationthen update pricingand contactsin ERP System.
Support inventory counts asrequired (Reconciliation, investigation, counts, surveys)
Communicate with supervisor on items that may drive operational performance and requireassistance
Research and analyze potential suppliers/vendors for RFP/RFQ/RFI.
Ensure maintenance ofaccurate, thorough contract records and help tofacilitateefficient interdepartmental communications related to assigned areas.
Support company initiatives, record keeping, administrative tasks and other miscellaneousprojectsand reporting requests as needed.
Create andmaintainspreadsheets as necessary and provide reports.
Review contacts and update thecontract database.
Accountablefor ensuring corporate Safety Management System activities are being effectively applied by staff personnel within PHI
This job is an in-office assignment.
Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Travel may berequiredto visit PHI bases or vendors/suppliers.
Workin Microsoft products, especially Excel for reporting and analysis.
Promote PHI’s Destination Zero initiative.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Solid knowledge of business and economic issues, coststructuresand contracts.
Ability to pay strict attention to details, excellent organizational skills, strong computer skills, andstrong communicationskills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously andmaintaintight timelines while meeting targeted savings outcomes.
Strong conflict management, problem-solvingand communication skills (both verbal and written).
Knowledge of program management tools andtechnique (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
