General Practitioner (GP Doctor) | Hospital | Jobs in Dubai

A reputable hospital in Dubai is seeking a General Practitioner (GP Doctor) to join its clinical team. The GP will be responsible for providing primary medical care, diagnosing and treating a broad range of illnesses, and referring patients to specialists when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a DHA license or eligibility, excellent clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care & Diagnosis:

• Conduct routine and urgent medical consultations across all age groups.

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results

• Provide preventive healthcare, including health education and vaccinations.

• Refer patients to specialists or consultants when advanced care is needed.

Patient Management & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and patient histories.

• Ensure timely follow-up and monitoring of treatment plans

• Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient care.

Compliance & Safety:

• Comply with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations and hospital protocols.

• Adhere to infection control and patient safety policies

• Participate in clinical audits, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives

Patient Education & Support:

• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications

• Offer emotional and psychological support where appropriate.

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent Required.

• Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter Mandatory.

• BLS/ACLS certification Preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience post-qualification (UAE or international).

• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

• Familiarity with EMR systems and digital patient records.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
