ABOUT THE ROLE

The General Partner, Commercial is the senior executive owner of a defined portfolio of strategic Big Pharma and CRO accounts, responsible for driving transformative growth and long-term partnership value. This role operates as the primary commercial and relationship leader for accounts generating $50MM–$100MM+ in revenue, ensuring that client engagements deliver measurable outcomes aligned to both client objectives and Signant Health's strategic priorities. The General Partner balances commercial growth, operational delivery, and stakeholder influence to position Signant Health as an indispensable, forward-looking partner — achieving net bookings targets, revenue goals, and margin expectations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Own and develop the commercial strategy across an assigned portfolio of strategic pharma and CRO accounts, driving consistent year-on-year revenue growth through expansion, cross-sell, and renewals.
  2. Serve as the primary executive relationship owner, building and sustaining trusted partnerships with C-suite stakeholders, department heads, procurement, and key influencers across client organisations.
  3. Lead account governance and strategic planning, including portfolio analysis, ROI modelling, and long-term opportunity mapping that aligns client priorities with Signant Health's solutions.
  4. Proactively identify and manage delivery risks, working closely with internal operational teams to resolve challenges before they impact client trust or margin performance.
  5. Protect and optimise account profitability, making informed commercial decisions and trade-offs that maintain healthy margins while supporting sustainable growth.
  6. Map and monitor client organizational dynamics, identifying shifts in stakeholder influence, priorities, and competitive positioning to stay ahead of risks and opportunities.
  7. Chair cross-functional governance forums and steering committees, ensuring alignment between client expectations and internal Commercial, Project Management, and Technical Delivery teams.
  8. Represent Signant Health at senior industry forums and executive client engagements, reinforcing the organization's profile and thought leadership within the Life Sciences and pharma tech space.
  9. Identify and pursue new strategic opportunities within the existing portfolio, leveraging deep client knowledge and industry relationships to expand scope and deepen partnership value.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

  1. 15+ years in senior client-facing leadership roles, including 7+ years at a senior level within technology, software companies, or pharma services serving the Life Sciences sector.
  2. Proven track record managing $50MM+ accounts in SaaS, tech services, or pharma-adjacent environments, with consistent double-digit revenue growth in competitive, multi-stakeholder settings.
  3. Deep domain knowledge of Big Pharma and CROs, including R&D, commercial, and regulatory landscapes.
  4. Strong executive presence with the ability to engage, influence, and build consensus across C-suite and senior stakeholder groups.
  5. Demonstrated ability to structure and close complex commercial agreements that drive sustained revenue growth and margin performance.
  6. Experience leading account governance frameworks, including strategic account planning, performance metrics, and executive reporting.
  7. Collaborative, cross-functional working style with the ability to align diverse internal teams around shared client outcomes.
  8. Proven ability to identify and manage organisational risk proactively, translating challenges into opportunities that strengthen client relationships.

Desirable:

  1. MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  2. Familiarity with clinical trial technology, eCOA, eConsent, or related Life Sciences solutions.
  3. Relevant certifications in strategic account management or pharma tech.
  4. Experience working across matrix organisations in multiple geographies.
  5. Advanced knowledge of enterprise CRM platforms and strategic account planning methodologies.
