Your role

Working within London Heathrow Airport, the General Operative willassistwith routine maintenance dutiesto ensure productivity and output equipment availability, health & safetycomplianceand quality. You will be performing the following tasks:

  • Operational checks, functionality checks, cleaning, adjustment,lubricationand monitoring.Find rootcauseof issues and find permanent solutions to issuesencountered

  • Assistwith planned preventative maintenance, corrective and reactive maintenance intimelymanner asrequired

  • Be the 1stline of response to bag jams

Physical Requirements

  • Walking and Mobility: This role requires extensive walking, including navigating various levels of the baggage systems and working at heights. Candidates must be comfortable with prolonged periods of walking and standing.

  • Heavy Lifting: The position involves lifting and moving heavy objects including baggage, motors, and rollers, with weights up to 75kg. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be always followed.

  • Restrictive Spaces: Work willfrequentlytake place in restrictive spaces. Candidates should be able to work comfortably in tight areas and follow all safety guidelines for such environments.

  • Noise Levels: The work environment may have high noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided, and adherence to safety regulationsregardingnoise exposure is mandatory.

Any pre-existing medical history that you feel may affect your ability to perform the duties of the role, must be taken into consideration when applying.
