UMass Memorial Health, the premier health and wellness partner for the people of Central Massachusetts and the largest healthcare system in the region, is seeking a passionate and skilled Per-Diem General Oncologist to join our Division of Hematology/Oncology within the UMass Memorial Medical Group working at our HealthAlliance Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center location in Fitchburg, MA. This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality community-based cancer care at a well-established practice.

About the Role:

Join a vibrant and growing Division of Hematology/Oncology, which includes:

  • 28 Board-Certified Physicians and 33 Advanced Practice Providers

  • An integrated, multidisciplinary Cancer Center of Excellence focused on clinical care and innovation

  • Access to state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities

  • Affiliation with the UMass Chan Medical School, a nationally ranked academic institution

This role offers a dynamic mix of clinical care, teaching, research, and leadership opportunities with a clinical focus on general oncology, including but not limited to Thoracic and Head/Neck Oncology, G astrointestinal Malignancies, and Classical Hematology

Key Highlights:

  • Primary clinical focus: Thoracic and Head/Neck Oncology, G astrointestinal Malignancies, and Classical Hematology in the outpatient settings

  • Clinic schedule: 4-6 half-day sessions per week, average of 8 patients per session

  • Electronic Medical Record: Epic

  • Practice site(s): Health Alliance Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center location in Fitchburg, MA

  • Competitive compensation

What We’re Looking For:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology

  • MD or DO degree and eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure

  • A strong commitment to patient-centered clinical care

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment
