
Staff Position Description
Position Title: General Office Clerk
Department: Patient Financial Services
Position Purpose:
All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI’s vision of providing the region’s best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Sort and distribute mail to appropriate departments, retaining all insurance checks
· Retains mail returns and performs skip trace process
· Opens Credit Counselors mail and prepares it for contact
· Per the direction of the supervisor- reviews, prices, and prepares payment to physicians according to the Self pay/Consulting agreement
· General office tasks to assist the credit counselors on a as needed basis
· Processes ad-hoc requests for assistants with projects and other duties efficiently with the end in mind
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: One (1) year experience in an office setting
Work Requirements
· Regularly needs to bend, stoop and reach to file and organize files
· Ability to lift 11 to 25 pounds of files to storage area when necessary
· Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time while filing and sorting mail
· Ability to deal with clients/customers in a calm and effective manner
