About Us

G’day Group comprises leading Australian tourism brands in Discovery Parks, Resorts and the loyalty program G’day Rewards. Employing more than 2,000 people Australia-wide, G’day Group has the largest park network in the country, offering an amazing customer journey.

The role

This is more than just your average management position – it’s an opportunity to live and work in one of Australia’s most spectacular tourism destinations – the East Kimberley.

We’re looking for an energetic leader to take on the role of General Manager – Tourism & Experiences, overseeing Discovery Parks Kununurra and Triple J Tours.

Based in beautiful Kununurra, you’ll work across both businesses, overseeing operations, leading teams and driving commercial performance. From the stunning landscapes of Lake Argyle to world-class tours and adventure opportunities, you’ll be immersed in a destination that attracts visitors from across Australia and the world.

This is a hands-on role with genuine scope to shape two businesses, build connections across the local tourism industry and make a meaningful impact across the broader destination. For the right person, there is also strong potential for career growth and increased responsibility within the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the combined operations and performance of Discovery Parks Kununurra and Triple J Tours.
  • Lead and develop teams across accommodation, tours, marina and hospitality operations.
  • Own budgets, forecasting, revenue, cost control and overall commercial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to grow visitation, revenue and local partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships with tourism operators, local businesses, suppliers, community groups and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the park, tours and facilities consistently meet high standards of safety, compliance, presentation and service.
  • Work closely with the wider G’day Group to maximise opportunities across the region.
  • Adapt operations to seasonal demand and get involved wherever needed to keep the businesses running at their best.

About You

You’ll be a commercially minded tourism professional who is personable, adaptable and genuinely passionate about regional tourism, the outdoors and the Kimberley.

Your background could be in tourism, attractions, destination management, accommodation, resorts or tours, with the confidence and capability to operate across different parts of the business.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Strong commercial acumen and sound business management skills.
  • Experience working in a seasonal or regional tourism environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work across multiple operations and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A genuine passion for showcasing destinations and the experiences they offer.
  • A current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Why work for us

  • Live and work in beautiful Kununurra, surrounded by the incredible landscapes of the East Kimberley and Lake Argyle.
  • Accommodation provided in a recently renovated 3-bedroom, pet-friendly home, including power and water.
  • Competitive salary + super, with an added bonus
  • Access to a work vehicle for business operations.
  • Lead two iconic tourism businesses and play a genuine role in shaping their future.
  • Professional growth opportunities across Australia's largest park network.
  • Discounts on accommodation at over 300 G’day holiday parks.
  • Service recognition awards.
  • Employee Assistance Program.

If you’re ready to swap the ordinary for an extraordinary destination, this is your opportunity to build a career while living the Kimberley lifestyle.

Come for the career. Stay for the adventure.
