About the role and you

The General Manager - TEAMS is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of SEG’s two basketball teams and one netball team. Working closely with each General Manager, this role oversees strategic plans & implementation, high performance recruitment, club budgets, customer fan build and drives community engagement. The GM provides visionary leadership to strengthen the teams’ competitive position utilising the SEN business, enhance brand reputation, and deliver long-term growth and sustainability.

The ideal candidate we are looking for will have:

  • Strategic Leadership – Ability to set and execute long-term vision for team success and growth.
  • Strong Business Acumen – Skilled in financial management, budgeting, and revenue generation.
  • Sports Industry Knowledge – Deep understanding of professional basketball and netball operations, league regulations, and compliance.
  • Talent Management Expertise – Proven experience in player and coaching staff recruitment and retention.
  • Operational Excellence – Ability to manage day-to-day team operations efficiently and effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Strong relationship-building skills with sponsors, community, and league officials.
