Job Description

The General Manager will have full accountability for leading The St. Regis Belgrade as a best-in-class luxury hotel. This role requires a leader with strong commercial acumen, exceptional brand stewardship, and the gravitas to partner closely with ownership on a high-profile asset.

You will set the cultural tone of the hotel, lead a high-performing executive committee, and ensure the seamless delivery of the St. Regis service philosophy from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Establish and lead a high-performance culture aligned to St. Regis values, rituals, and service standards.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a strong executive leadership team.
  • Act as a visible and inspiring leader for associates and a credible ambassador for the brand.

Brand, Service & Guest Experience

  • Deliver an exceptional, highly personalised luxury guest experience.
  • Embed St. Regis rituals and storytelling throughout the guest journey.
  • Personally engage with VIPs, dignitaries, and key market influencers.

Commercial & Financial Performance

  • Full P&L ownership, including revenue strategy, cost control, and profitability.
  • Drive strong performance across rooms, food & beverage, events, and lifestyle outlets.
  • Position the hotel competitively within the regional and international luxury market.

Owner & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface with ownership, fostering trust through transparency, delivery, and strategic insight.
  • Confidently present performance, investment cases, and long-term plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Marriott International, brand leadership, and regional teams.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure operational readiness and excellence across all departments.
  • Maintain rigorous standards for safety, compliance, and asset care.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to elevate service, efficiency, and reputation.

About You

You are an experienced luxury hotel General Manager with a proven ability to lead complex, high-profile properties and work effectively with engaged owners.

Essential Experience & Capabilities

  • Prior General Manager experience within luxury or upper-luxury hospitality.
  • Strong commercial and financial leadership with full P&L accountability.
  • Experience opening, repositioning, or leading flagship luxury assets is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of luxury service, brand standards, and guest engagement.
  • Credible experience managing owners, investors, and senior stakeholders.
