General Manager – Six Senses Zighy Bay, Oman

As General Manager, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them, and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky, and pioneering wellness.
Sustainability, wellness, and out of the ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard these pillars through strategic planning and execution, ensuring all initiatives are fully embedded across the resort.

As the leader of Six Senses Zighy Bay, I will drive the positioning of the resort as a leading ultra-luxury destination in the Middle East, delivering highly personalized guest experiences within a complex and remote operating environment, while maintaining the highest brand standards and owner expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

As General Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the resort to provide exceptional products and services in line with Six Senses brand standards and financial objectives.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

▪ Lead the overall operation and positioning of Six Senses Zighy Bay as a benchmark ultra-luxury resort in the Middle East.
▪ Drive a highly personalized villa-based guest experience, ensuring exceptional service delivery aligned with elevated guest expectations and brand standards.
▪ Foster an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing culture, with a strong focus on attracting, developing, and retaining talent in a remote location environment.
▪ Ensure full alignment with Six Senses operational standards across all departments, maintaining and exceeding performance benchmarks.
▪ Instill a strong commercial mindset across the team, driving revenue through high ADR strategies, premium experiences, and wellness offerings, while maintaining cost discipline and operational efficiencies.
▪ Oversee the strategic direction of sales, marketing, and PR to strengthen brand positioning across key GCC and international markets.
▪ Manage operational complexity across villas, dining concepts, wellness, and logistics, ensuring seamless delivery of guest experiences.
▪ Champion sustainability and regenerative practices, including Earth Lab initiatives, local sourcing, and on-site production, embedding these into daily operations and guest engagement.
▪ Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, health and safety, and regulatory requirements, including regional considerations and visa limitations impacting the workforce.
▪ Build and maintain strong relationships with ownership and key stakeholders, aligning on performance, operational priorities, and long-term strategic direction.
▪ Respect and uphold Omani traditions and Islamic culture, ensuring cultural sensitivity is embedded in both guest and host experiences.

Qualifications

To execute the position of General Manager, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role within ultra-luxury resort environments, including:

▪ Proven experience as a General Manager in an ultra-luxury resort, ideally within remote or complex environments.
▪ Strong background in villa product operations with a high level of personalization and guest engagement.
▪ Demonstrated experience in sustainability-driven operations, with a clear understanding of regenerative practices.
▪ Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to drive revenue through premium positioning, guest experiences, and wellness offerings.
▪ Experience operating within highly competitive luxury markets, ideally within the Middle East region.
▪ Ability to manage complex logistics in remote environments, including supply chain, workforce, and operational challenges.
▪ Outstanding leadership capabilities, with a track record of building, inspiring, and retaining diverse teams in remote locations.
▪ Strong alignment with Six Senses and IHG luxury lifestyle philosophy and values.
▪ High level of guest engagement capability, with a focus on delivering exceptional and memorable experiences for high-net-worth clientele.
▪ Understanding of GCC guest profiles alongside international luxury travellers.
▪ Strong cultural awareness, with the ability to operate effectively within Omani traditions and regional sensitivities.
▪ Fluency in English is required; Arabic is preferred.
▪ Regional experience in the Middle East and familiarity with remote resort environments is highly advantageous.
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
