Job Description


This role leads the Romanian office’s business planning, financial performance, and operational delivery, ensuring all activities align with multi year commercial and strategic goals. It oversees the development of budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. Acting as the senior client interface for key accounts, the role ensures high quality project delivery, supports business development, and builds strong stakeholder relationships that enable account expansion and long-term partnerships. It provides leadership across people management—including coaching, performance reviews, recruitment, and capability development—while maintaining strong governance, risk mitigation, and quality oversight across all internal and external resources.   • Responsible for the correct application of labor legislation and regulations concerning financial and accounting operations, with support from central legal and finance team.

    Responsible for promoting the Company’s policy in relations with central and local public authorities.

    Control local administrative, financial, housekeeping and office management processes

  • Responsible for business planning, forecasting, and budgeting for the activities run from the Romanian office. Lead the development of annual and multi‑year business plans that align with organizational growth objectives. Prepares accurate revenue forecasts, resource plans, and departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with market demand, operational capacity, and strategic priorities. Monitor financial performance throughout the year, identify variances, and implements corrective actions to keep the department on track to meet commercial targets.
  • Accountable for creating and achieving KPIs related to revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. Define measurable performance indicators that reflect both financial goals (e.g., revenue, margin, utilization) and operational excellence (e.g., turnaround times, quality metrics, customer satisfaction). Drives accountability within the team to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded, using data-driven decision‑making to optimize performance and ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Oversee continuous improvement of systems, processes, and content while ensuring commercial agility and consistency. Evaluate and enhance internal workflows, delivery models, and knowledge assets to improve efficiency, scalability, and speed to market. Ensures that operational improvements enhance cost-effectiveness, reduce waste, and support margin expansion.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel to meet customer expectations and commercial commitments
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, contributing directly to business development objectives.
  • Build, develop, and strengthen business relationships critical to project success and new commercial opportunities. Cultivates strong, trust-based relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders, and internal teams. Leverages these relationships to support successful project delivery and drive new business pipelines. Engages regularly with external stakeholders to maintain visibility, position the organization as a trusted advisor, and foster long‑term partnerships that contribute to recurring revenue.
  • Oversee major projects end‑to‑end to ensure quality delivery, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. Independently manages complex, high-value projects from initiation to close‑out, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. Approves project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables that support commercial and strategic business priorities. Estimates resource requirements, aligns internal and external participants, and ensures projects generate positive outcomes for both the client and the organization. Drives project profitability, effective risk mitigation, and repeat business through outstanding delivery.
  • Monitor and report market trends and developments in the region in areas such as food safety, regulatory, and nutrition, and ensure ongoing commercial intelligence sharing
  • Ensure invoicing and customer complaints are managed efficiently, effectively, and with commercial awareness
  • Ensures oversight, quality, and integrity reviews of internal and external resources.

    Coaches, mentors, trains, and motivates direct reports, fostering accountability and performance excellence.

    Assigns annual goals to each team member and evaluates their progression throughout the year.

    Develops goal frameworks aligned with team and organizational strategy. Conducts periodic check‑ins, provides constructive feedback, and executes mid‑year and year‑end reviews to assess performance. Identifies potential crises and develops contingency plans; resolves issues and conflicts within the team

  • Monitors operational and project risk indicators to anticipate potential disruptions, creating actionable contingency or escalation plans as needed. Supports HR and Talent Acquisition with recruitment, onboarding, and initial training of key personnel.
  • Hybrid role out of our office in Bucharest
  • Degree in Food Science, Biology, Nutrition, or related scientific discipline

  • Skilled at networking and building client relationship to generate new business

  • Strong proficiency in proposal and report writing, project management, and document control

  • Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork skills

  • People management experience, including coaching for performance and sustaining team engagement

  • Experience across diverse food industry sectors

  • Experience in customer consultations and advisory services

  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities

  • Skilled communicator across multiple channels

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proficient in communicating in Romanian & English, spoken and written. (any other EU language will be an asset)

  • Experience in managing legal entities in Romania
