Job Title: General Manager

Location: Jamaica

Our client is seeking an experienced and operationally focused General Manager to oversee the day-to-day leadership and execution of a complex, service-driven organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple operational departments, ensuring strong financial oversight, managing vendors and contractors, maintaining high customer service standards, and driving operational accountability across the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong executor who can balance operational discipline, stakeholder management, team leadership, and customer experience within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership across multiple departments and facilities
  • Drive accountability, performance management, and operational consistency across teams
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
  • Review operational and financial reports to support sound business decisions
  • Monitor departmental spending and ensure financial discipline across operations
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Enforce service agreements and oversee contractor performance
  • Ensure a high-quality customer and stakeholder experience across all touchpoints
  • Improve operational systems, workflows, and reporting structures
  • Implement and maintain structured task management and accountability systems
  • Coordinate with senior leadership and provide regular operational updates and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, safety, environmental, and employment standards
  • Support security oversight, access control processes, and operational risk management
  • Assist with onboarding and management of outsourced service providers and operational partners

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 to 10 years’ management or supervisory experience within a service-oriented environment
  • Strong background in operations management, hospitality, facilities management, multi-unit operations, or similar environments
  • Experience managing teams, vendors, contractors, and customer-facing operations
  • Financial literacy with the ability to interpret management reports and operational financials
  • Experience using operational systems, POS platforms, and task management software is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Jamaican labour practices and operational compliance standards preferred
