General Manager – Logistics (Vietnam & Cambodia)
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (with travel to Cambodia)

Play a pivotal role in launching and leading a regional logistics operation. Our client, a global player in shipping and supply chain services, is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial General Manager - Logistics to establish and grow operations in Vietnam and Cambodia

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, this is a rare opportunity to build a logistics business from the ground up. You’ll lead everything from entity setup and team recruitment to commercial growth and cross-border performance, supported by a well-resourced global network.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the full setup of the logistics entity in Vietnam, including regulatory registration and operational foundations

• Define and execute growth strategies across freight forwarding and contract logistics services

• Oversee all operations in Vietnam and Cambodia, ensuring efficient delivery across air, sea, and land

• Travel to Cambodia regularly (approx. 20%) to drive alignment and market expansion

• Build a strong client base and negotiate partnerships with vendors and service providers

• Ensure compliance with all local and regional logistics regulations

• Recruit, lead, and mentor teams across both countries, fostering a high-performance culture

• Own financial performance and P&L delivery across the region

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• 10+ years’ senior experience in logistics, with expertise in both freight forwarding and contract logistics

• A track record of setting up or scaling logistics operations in emerging markets

• Deep understanding of the Vietnamese logistics landscape; exposure to Cambodia is advantageous

• Strong commercial and operational leadership skills with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach

• Experience managing cross-border teams and navigating complex regulatory environments

• Fluent English is essential; Vietnamese or Khmer language skills are a plus
