We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial-minded General Manager to lead The Breakroom—a one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art office amenity and bar located in the heart of San Francisco’s Market Street corridor.

This is not a traditional office amenity role. The BRKRM at 555 is designed to redefine workplace hospitality and social experience, blending premium food & beverage, interactive recreation, and curated programming into a destination that drives community, engagement, and energy within a Class A office environment.

The General Manager will own the experience, with responsibility for operations, financial performance, team leadership, and guest experience. This role requires someone who can seamlessly operate at the intersection of hospitality, commercial real estate, community engagement, and corporate fitness.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Ownership & Leadership
  • Serve as the primary operator and owner of The BRKRM at 555 Market street
  • Drive strategy, performance, and continuous improvement across all functions
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, service-oriented team culture
  • Partner with ownership and stakeholders on vision, growth, and innovation
  1. Bar Operations & Food Service (Core Focus)
  • Lead all aspects of the bar program, including staffing, inventory, compliance, product development, and service standards
  • Oversee the execution of the facility’s food services in partnership with the Bar Manager
  • Manage the daily operations of the café which include barista-curated coffee drinks, pastries, snacks, and beverages
  • Work with local vendors to collaborate on menu offerings and promotions
  • Ensure exceptional execution in a high-volume, high-expectation environment
  • Develop beverage programming that enhances the venue’s identity and drives revenue
  • Maintain strict adherence to all alcohol laws, safety, and operational controls
  • Oversee the execution of the facility’s food services in partnership with the Bar Manager.

  • Deliver a best-in-class hospitality experience that blends professionalism with energy and creativity
  • Set and uphold service standards across all touchpoints
  • Actively engage with guests to build community and repeat visitation
  • Focus on “hyper-attentiveness” as the north star for service expectations.
  1. Programming & Activation
  • Curate and execute events, activations, and experiences that bring The Breakroom to life
  • Collaborate with tenants, corporate partners, and community groups
  • Ensure a vibrant, ever-evolving calendar that differentiates the venue
  1. Sports and Fitness Operations
  • Oversee all recreational, sports, and fitness amenities within The Breakroom
  • Ensure safe, engaging, and well-maintained activity spaces and equipment
  • Develop programming that encourages participation and community engagement
  1. Meeting and Event Management
  • Manage booking, coordination, and execution of meetings and private events
  • Deliver seamless, high-quality experiences tailored to corporate tenants and guests
  • Partner with clients to customize offerings and maximize utilization of space
  1. Operations Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including staffing, scheduling, and vendor management
  • Ensure smooth coordination across bar, floor operations, and activity spaces
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and highly functional environment
  1. Financial Performance
  • Own P&L, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Drive revenue through bar performance, events, and programming
  • Manage costs across labor, product, and operations
