The Opportunity

Marriott International is seeking a commercially driven and operationally strong General Manager to lead Courtyard by Marriott Paris Arcueil.

This role presents an opportunity to lead a high-performing hotel within one of Europe’s most competitive and sophisticated markets. Success in this position will require a leader who can balance commercial performance, operational discipline, and people leadership, while delivering a consistent and engaging guest experience aligned with the Courtyard brand.

About the Property

Courtyard by Marriott Paris Arcueil is strategically located in the southern Paris corridor, benefiting from proximity to key business districts, transport links, and international demand drivers. The property operates in a competitive midscale segment, requiring strong revenue management, cost control, and local market positioning to outperform its comp set.

The Role

As General Manager, you will hold full accountability for the hotel’s performance, leading all aspects of operations, commercial strategy, and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities Business & Commercial Leadership

  • Drive top-line performance through proactive commercial strategy across rooms, F&B, and ancillary revenue streams
  • Partner effectively with Revenue Management and Sales to optimise pricing, segmentation, and channel mix
  • Maintain strong market awareness, positioning the hotel competitively within the Paris landscape
  • Deliver against budget, forecast, and long-term asset performance expectations

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure consistent execution of Courtyard brand standards and Marriott operating procedures
  • Drive guest satisfaction, quality scores, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain a strong focus on detail, cleanliness, and service delivery
  • Lead day-to-day operations with a hands-on, visible leadership style

People Leadership & Culture

  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Champion Marriott’s values and leadership expectations across the hotel
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and internal mobility

Owner & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted partner to ownership, providing clear, data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Lead regular performance reviews and business updates with key stakeholders
  • Balance owner priorities with Marriott brand standards and long-term value creation

Financial Performance

  • Deliver strong GOP performance through disciplined cost management and productivity optimisation
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial controls
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a well-rounded hotel leader with a strong foundation in operations and a clear track record of delivering commercial results.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a General Manager
  • Proven success operating within a branded, internationally recognised hotel environment
  • Experience in the Paris market or comparable European gateway cities is highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of midscale or select-service hotel dynamics

Leadership & Capability

  • Demonstrates strong leadership judgement and decision-making capability
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to translate strategy into measurable performance
  • Operationally credible, with a hands-on and detail-oriented approach
  • Strong communicator, able to influence both internal and external stakeholders

Additional Requirements

  • Fluency in French and English is essential
  • Eligibility to work in France
