Job Description
The purpose of this role is to lead and drive the performance and growth of the Clean Air - By Rentokil-initial El Salvador business, ensuring that the business delivers budgeted revenue, profit and operating cash flow targets.
The General Manager is ultimately responsible for the full business. The business covers hygiene prevention services. For this area, the General Manager has general managerial, turnover and profit & loss (P&L) responsibility.
The General Manager is responsible for ensuring that organisational values of Service, Relationships and teamwork are driven and embedded across the sites, ensuring that colleagues represent the company professionally and in alignment with company ethics and standards
Responsibilities
- Has final responsibility for the whole country's business results.
- Promote company values and make sure values are alive in the organisation.
- Responsible for and focuses on growing strategic business areas to maximise profit.
- Leads the management team by providing effective leadership to support the team in achieving P&L targets and results.
- Responsible for promoting business system and process improvement through focusing on efficiency. Takes into account cost-effectiveness in any decision being made.
- Responsible for the performance of the Sales & Service team; carrying out appraisals, creating personal development plans and setting SMART objectives and targets.
- Responsible for the change management process.
- Ultimately responsible for compliance with H&SE, quality and environment policies, providing support to the process leadership in defining targets and actions.
- Being a legal representative before regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for finding new opportunities for organic growth through acquisitions.
Main tasks
- Permanent and regular attention to the continuing quality of the running, daily business. Focus on Sales and service, benchmarking, tracking, following and presenting KPIs to improve the business through customer service, effective processing, delivery and supportive functions like H&SE, Administration and Talent Management.
- Permanent and regular attention to new opportunities to grow the Service business in his/her relevant area, in line with the Zone and Corporate framework.
- Creates and contributes to strategic and business plans and inputs into sub-functional/divisional strategy. Establishes and contributes to clear budget objectives.
- Provide special focus and guidance to the Pest-control Business team to ensure Technical and commercial performance.
- Responsible for seeking innovation opportunities applied to services and new business initiatives
- Accountable for the professionalism and excellence of the service, promoting training and career development.
Requirements
Required
- Academic Background: Educated to graduate level; preferably postgraduate. Qualified professional in management/economics/sales & services. Commercial background. An MBA is an advantage.
- Experience: At least 5 /8 - five to eight years of proven executive experience in similar positions with accountability across multiple territories and geographies. Experience mainly in a similar market or service company.

- Hands-on & excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to operate effectively both strategically and operationally as required.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of corporate finance and influencing key financial performance indicators.
- Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including customers, employees, trade unions, investors, analysts, regulators, government bodies and suppliers as required.
- Able to demonstrate high levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgement and a rigorous focus on the details
- Being a good negotiator.
