About the Job

SAP Taulia is seeking an experienced practitioner to join our team as the General Manager, Asia Pacific (APAC). In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all of the go-to-market functions in the region including Sales, Pre-Sales, Account Management, and more. You will be at the center of driving growth with our customers and prospective customers across diverse markets in South East Asia (including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines), Australia and New Zealand.

You will be responsible for defining and executing on a winning strategy across the regional B2B working capital ecosystem. You are a strategic leader capable of working with internal and external stakeholders to build our brand while leading a high-performing team to deliver Supply Chain Finance, AR Financing, Dynamic Discounting and Virtual Card solutions.

This role is based in Singapore, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer who is based in San Francisco, California, USA.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the APAC region, identifying growth opportunities in key markets and emerging ecosystems.
• Regional Growth: Drive the expansion of SAP Taulia’s customer solutions, focusing on new customer acquisition and maximizing revenue within the existing regional customer base.
• Stakeholder Management: Work strategically with internal global teams, SAP counterparts and external partners to build brand awareness, market penetration, and broaden our solution availability.
• Solution Delivery: Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team to deliver SAP Taulia’s solutions to meet the market needs of customers locally.
• Market Insights: Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory environments, and the competitive landscape across APAC to inform strategic initiatives.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with the global sales team and leadership team to align regional efforts with SAP Taulia’s overall strategic objectives and mission.
• Operational Excellence: Manage regional resource constraints, budgeting, and performance management while "raising the bar" on quality and service delivery.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

Required:

• Relevant Expertise: A minimum of 10 years of experience in related roles including APAC leadership, trade finance, or fintech industry, with a proven track record of success.
• Leadership Track Record: At least 5 years in senior leadership roles within a global organization, with demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing regional teams.
• Ethics and Integrity: A keen sense of professional ethics and a commitment to data-driven performance management and excellence.
• Customer Facing Skills: Ability to thrive in complex external stakeholder environments, designing value propositions and pitching innovative ideas to customers and partners.
• Strategic & Analytical Ability: Strong ability to operate strategically while remaining willing to "roll up the sleeves" to work directly with customers and delivery teams.
• English Fluency - Business level fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Desired:

• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of working capital solutions, including domestic and cross-border trade flows, particularly within Asian markets.
• SaaS Experience: Previous experience in SaaS or subscription-based sales environments.
• Cultural Competency: Strong experience with Asian business and social cultures.
• Regulatory Acumen: Familiarity with regulatory environments and key stakeholders surrounding similar products to SAP Taulia’s across the APAC region.
• AI Curiosity: A forward-thinking mindset with an interest in leveraging Artificial Intelligence to drive efficiency and innovation in financial workflows.
• Multilingual: Proficiency in relevant regional languages.
