Lead A Critical Growth Engine at Medela

At Medela, we are passionate about improving the lives of mothers, babies, and families worldwide. As we continue to accelerate our direct-to-consumer growth, Amazon plays a pivotal role in how we reach and serve our customers.

We’re looking for a General Manager, Amazon Business, to take full ownership of our Amazon business across the Americas. This is a role responsible for strategy, execution, and performance—with direct impact on revenue, profitability, and long-term value creation.

If you’re a data-driven commercial leader who thrives in high-ownership roles and knows how to win on Amazon, this is your opportunity to build and scale a critical business unit.

What You’ll Own as the General Manager, Amazon Business

P&L Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end Amazon business across the U.S. and Canada
  • Drive revenue, margin, profitability, and working capital performance
  • Make strategic trade-offs across growth, pricing, availability, and brand health
  • Represent Amazon performance to executive leadership and board stakeholders

Amazon Strategy & Channel Leadership

  • Define and lead the Amazon strategy, including:
    • Assortment and SKU architecture
    • Pricing strategy and promotional guardrails
    • 1P vs. 3P model decisions
    • Marketplace and Buy Box strategy
  • Anticipate and adapt to Amazon platform changes (algorithms, policies, retail media)

Executive Engagement & Joint Business Planning

  • Own the Amazon Joint Business Plan and long-term growth roadmap
  • Lead senior-level negotiations with Amazon
  • Align internal stakeholders to deliver a unified, high-impact strategy

Portfolio & Innovation Leadership

  • Shape the Amazon product portfolio and lifecycle strategy
  • Lead line reviews and assortment decisions
  • Ensure innovation is optimized for conversion, ranking, and customer reviews

Pricing, Promotion & Trade Governance

  • Own pricing architecture and promotional investment strategy
  • Establish ROI standards for all trade and media investments
  • Protect price integrity across channels

Demand & Digital Shelf Performance

  • Drive total demand: traffic, conversion, and rating health
  • Set direction for retail media, content, and digital shelf excellence
  • Partner closely with Marketing while holding performance accountability

Operations & Marketplace Health

  • Ensure strong forecasting, inventory, and availability performance
  • Own Buy Box outcomes and marketplace stability
  • Lead cross-functional resolution of operational risks impacting the business

Organizational Leadership

  • Operate as a cross-functional leader across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance
  • Set high standards, drive accountability, and influence without direct authority
  • Build Amazon into a best-in-class, high-growth business unit

What we offer the General Manager, Amazon Business

  • Comprehensive benefits plan
  • 401K with match
  • Pension Plan
  • 16-week Paid Parental Leave
  • Generous PTO package, plus 14 paid holidays
  • A great place to work!

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience
  • Proven ownership of a significant eCommerce or retail P&L
  • Deep expertise in the Amazon ecosystem (1P, 3P, retail media, marketplace dynamics)
  • Strong track record of executive-level negotiations and stakeholder influence
  • Experience driving transformational growth in complex, fast-moving environments
