
The General Manager – Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Aged Care Service (Walambang) provides strategic, operational andclinical leadership to establish, grow and sustain (EDAACS) Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Aged Care Service.
This role has dual and concurrent accountability:
1. To lead the end-to-end Aged Care application and commissioning process, ensuring EDAACS is demonstrably ready to enter the aged care system as a culturally strong, compliant and sustainable provider; and
2. To establish, operate and scale Walambang, including Elders Care and CHSP services, into a high-quality,community-led aged care service grounded in Aboriginal self-determination.
As a startup General Manager role, this position is hands-on, outcomes-driven and systems-focused, responsible for building the service foundations while delivering day-to-day operational leadership.
The role ensures Walambang is application-ready, audit-ready and service-ready, while remaining culturally responsive, financially responsible and responsive to community need.

The General Manager is accountable for the overall leadership, performance and integrity of the (EDAACS) Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Aged Care Service (Walambang).
This includes strategic, operational, clinical and cultural leadership to ensure the service is safe, compliant, culturally strong and sustainable.
