Job Purpose:
- To oversee and manage the daily operations of a downtown property, ensuring its profitability, tenant satisfaction, and overall success. This includes responsibility for financial performance, staff management, property maintenance, and tenant relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the property's operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage and supervise on-site staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
- Oversee property maintenance and ensure that all facilities are in good working order and comply with safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to property management.
- Prepare regular reports on the property's financial and operational performance.
- Manage tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth transition process.
- Implement and enforce property rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Develop and maintain a positive and productive work environment for staff.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to stay abreast of best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to achieve overall business objectives.
- Manage and resolve tenant complaints and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee the collection of rent and other payments from tenants.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants.
- Maintain accurate records of all property transactions and activities.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
Required
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in property management, with at least 3 years in a General Manager role or equivalent leadership position.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a large-scale property or portfolio of properties, preferably in a downtown urban environment.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve financial objectives, including budget management, expense control, and revenue generation.
- Extensive experience in managing and leading a team of property management professionals, including hiring, training, performance management, and development.
- Strong understanding of real estate laws, regulations, and best practices related to property management.
- Experience with lease administration, tenant relations, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in using property management software and other relevant technology.
- Experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, tenants, vendors, and community members.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in handling emergency situations and resolving complex issues effectively.
