SpringHill Suites Sandusky – Lodging, LLC

General Manager


Lodging, LLC is seeking a Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team at the SpringHill Suites Sandusky. In this key role, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations. Lead and supervise all departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. Create an environment that promotes guest satisfaction and operational excellence. The General Manager will drive the success of the property by implementing strategic initiatives, managing staff, and maintaining high standards across all departments.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional motivated to make a positive impact on a brand-new property.
Experience

  • Proven management experience within the hospitality industry.

  • Knowledge of hotel management principles including revenue management, guest services, and human resources.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.

  • Experience managing front desk operations.

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.

Leader/Management

  • Leads the management of staff in such a way to increase hotel profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversees the interviewing, hiring, training, work direction, and performance management of all employees. Also tasked with creating a motivating work environment to allow for the development of employees.

  • Contributes to the successful development of the Assistant General Manager and/or Front Desk Manager and other direct reports.

  • Creates and support clear lines of responsibility for management team, including coverage and oversight throughout the day.

  • Manages the flow of labor between departments to support effective management of the Labor Budget and achievement of profitability goals.

  • Creates/reviews all departmental schedules for accuracy and staffing demands.

  • Ensure service programs/brand standards are in place and executed.

  • Prepares for QA audits (i.e., daily and pre-visit activities).

  • Reviews and follow-up on property GSS scores and comments.

  • Ensure public spaces, grounds, work and kitchen areas meet sanitation and cleanliness/maintenance standards.
Financials

  • Reviews and maintains accurate records of hotel funds and information including, but not limited to, accounts receivable and payable, credit card reconciliations, and registration information.

  • Interacts with in-house guests to prospect for new sources of business.

Guest Service

  • Offer guests assistance whenever possible.

  • Responsible for resolving escalated customer relations issues.

  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.

  • Must appropriately address guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotel’s services and accommodation.

  • Responsible for positively representing and promoting the property.

  • Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.
