Job Description

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems, services, and solutions for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Nikkiso ACD is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as – 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.

The General Manager, reporting to the President - Nikkiso Cryogenic Pumps Functional Unit, directs operations through a team of directors and functional managers. This role is responsible for running the day-to-day operations and employee interactions to run an effective manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring all departments meet their performance targets.
  • Optimize the use of manpower, materials, and machines to achieve operational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and meeting delivery timelines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
  • Analyze and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
  • Determines operations head count needs and ensures compliance with company policies.
  • Ensures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects.
  • Support the professional growth and development of team members through regular training and performance evaluations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Contribute to long-term planning and organizational growth initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10 + years of manufacturing management experience; experience with rotating equipment manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Travel:

  • Both domestic and international travel is required (less than 30%)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be required

Salary: $140,000 - $220,000, plus generous bonus structure
