Aramark UK is looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead our Soft Facilities Management and Retail operations at Catterick Integrated Care Centre This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile NHS environment, driving operational excellence while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, compliance, and customer service.

As General Manager, you'll lead a diverse team responsible for delivering critical support services across the site, with a key focus on maintaining exceptional cleaning and infection control standards. You'll also oversee retail operations, manage key subcontracted services, and build strong client relationships, ensuring every aspect of the contract exceeds expectations.

What You'll Be Doing

As the operational lead for the site, you will:

  • Take full ownership and accountability for the operational and financial performance of the contract.
  • Lead the delivery of all Soft FM services, ensuring standards consistently exceed NHS healthcare cleanliness, infection prevention, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive a culture of service excellence, ensuring outstanding experiences for patients, visitors, clients, and colleagues.
  • Manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team, creating a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
  • Oversee the successful operation of the on-site retail outlet, ensuring effective stock management, merchandising, waste control, and profitability.
  • Ensure retail pricing, product ranges, and service delivery meet company and client expectations.
  • Develop strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, maximising service quality and commercial performance.
  • Manage subcontracted services including waste management, window cleaning, and other specialist support services.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Ensure all documentation, audits, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Drive innovation and operational improvements that enhance service quality, efficiency, and financial results.

About you:

  • Significant leadership experience within Facilities Management, Hospitality, Retail, Catering, or other large-scale service environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, costs, and financial performance.
  • Proven experience leading and developing diverse operational teams.
  • A track record of delivering success within highly regulated environments.
  • Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • The confidence to analyse performance data and turn insights into meaningful action.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic operational setting.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences and service excellence.
