How You Will Make a Difference; What We’re Looking For
As Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate work of process managers work under the GM.
- Devise and plan of company policies and discuss them with the top management for final approval.
- Develop guidelines of operation for certain processes, which are directly under his authority.
- Devise and set up an annual budget and fiscal plan, and present it before the board of the company.
- Prepare elaborate reports of the functioning of all the departments under his authority, and submit reports to the top management for performance review.
- Important part in recruiting and training the managers under him.
- Manage the overall lodging arrangements of the hotel.
- Initiate activities for improving customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that the overall quality standard of the hotel is maintained according to LQA and company standards.
- Hire and manage a management team.
- Overall management of hotel staff.
- Budgeting and financial management.
- Create and enforce business objectives and goals.
- Manage projects and renovations, management of emergencies and other major issues involving guests, employees, or the facility.
- Public relations with the media, local governments.
- Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 10 years in the hospitality industry, with a minimum of 3–5 years specifically as a General Manager
- Previous experience Madinah or Makkah is a must
- Strong understanding of both hotel operations and commercial business performance
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction
- Excellent leadership, communication skills, and team management skills
