The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational success of the hotel. This individual will ensure financial performance goals are achieved while delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a positive, engaging workplace culture.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, improve operational efficiencies, drive revenue, and uphold Hilton brand standards with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead all hotel associates with integrity, accountability, and HEART.
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, positivity, and service excellence.
  • Inspire associates to deliver exceptional guest experiences during every interaction.
  • Promote positive morale and maintain a professional, cohesive team environment.

Team Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, counsel, and develop high-performing associates.
  • Ensure all associates are trained on current policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Conduct ongoing performance management and professional development conversations.
  • Encourage growth mindset behaviors and continuous improvement across all departments.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all departments communicate effectively and operate collaboratively.
  • Monitor service delivery and resolve operational challenges proactively.
  • Ensure all hotel equipment and systems are properly maintained and operational.

Financial Performance

  • Develop and execute aggressive long- and short-range financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall profitability.
  • Manage labor costs and expenses within budgeted guidelines.
  • Review financial reports, forecasts, payroll, inventory, and operational costs regularly.
  • Oversee the food & beverage outlet to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete schedules, payroll, inventories, ordering, reporting, and accounting controls accurately and on time.
  • Utilize internal communication systems including Quore, Google Drive, Workvivo, and email.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, brand standards, and operational procedures.

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain all required certifications and training related to hotel operations, food & beverage, CPR, and applicable city/state requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and all local, state, and federal regulations.

Community Engagement

  • Represent the hotel and Springwood Hospitality within the local community.
  • Build relationships through business involvement and charitable engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Commitment to the company mission and achievement of organizational goals
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and engage teams
  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience overseeing at least 15 associates
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a select-service hotel with food & beverage operations
  • Hilton and/or Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen and operational management skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Growth mindset with a willingness to innovate, test new ideas, and improve continuously
  • Relentless focus on operational excellence and guest satisfaction
