General Manager

Boutique Destination Resort | Scottsdale, Arizona |On-Site

About the Opportunity

The property is evolving into a full destination resort anchored by wellness, culinary excellence, live entertainment, and the Sonoran Desert landscape. The incoming GM will own the guest experience vision, lead a 116-person team, and drive the property toward AAA 5 Diamond standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full property repositioning aligned with Marriott brand standards
• Oversee all operations: rooms, F&B, spa, fitness, meetings and events, and membership
• Build and mentor department heads; foster a culture of service excellence
• Drive revenue across all segments; manage P&L, budgets, and financial forecasting
• Collaborate with revenue management, sales, and marketing to maximize positioning
• Serve as community ambassador; cultivate relationships with the local Scottsdale market and membership base

Qualifications

Required

• Active Marriott brand experience; full-service background only
• GM experience at a full-service resort with 100+ keys minimum; boutique resort strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success in hotel repositioning or brand transformation
• Strong F&B leadership experience
• Commercial acumen across revenue management, sales, marketing, and finance
• Bachelor's degree; U.S. citizenship required; relocation to Scottsdale supported

Preferred

• Experience pursuing or achieving AAA Diamond recognition
• Background in resort wellness, spa, or membership models
• Track record in weddings, events, and banquet programming
• Community-building and ambassador-style leadership
