At Oceania, we believe in creating places where people feel at home, connected, and cared for. Our Meadowbank village, nestled in the heart of the Ōrākei community, is no exception — a well-established, welcoming care home where residents and team members truly know one another.
We’re looking for a General Manager to lead a community grounded in care, connection, and respect — someone who brings people together, builds strong teams, and keeps residents at the centre of every decision.
About the role
This is a key leadership position where you’ll guide a committed team to deliver high-quality care and meaningful daily experiences for our residents.
You’ll oversee the clinical, operational and financial performance of the care centre, with a strong focus on:
Supporting your team to thrive and perform at their best
Creating a warm, resident-first culture where people feel valued and safe
Ensuring care reflects best practice and Oceania’s model of care
Building strong relationships with residents, families, and the wider community
Driving sustainable occupancy and performance outcomes
You’ll be supported by an experienced Clinical Manager on site, along with regional clinical leadership, so you can focus on leading people and shaping a high-performing, caring environment.
What you’ll bring
You’re a capable and compassionate leader who knows how to bring out the best in others. You’ll likely have:
Experience leading teams in aged care or healthcare
A track record of building strong, engaged teams and achieving results
Confidence managing operational and financial performance
The ability to balance commercial outcomes with genuine care
Strong relationship-building skills with residents, families and staff
A calm, solutions-focused approach
A clinical background is valued, but just as important is your commitment to quality care and continuous improvement.
