Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work the track ie screen, pack, open using tractors and or trucks
  • Winter use dump trucks to remove snow
  • Work loader, Grader to clean up and put stone down in dump trucks
  • Look after all property maintenance including but not limited to; grass cutting and weed whacking, trimming bushes, tree removal and pruning, watering flowers, picking up garbage on property
  • Clean ship and Lasix barn, muck stalls
  • Power wash all tracks equipment and vehicles
  • Build up screens (welding)
  • Snow ploughing, salting roads and walkways, shovelling sidewalks and clearing snow on all property
  • Keeping Maintenance shop clean and organized.
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Health & Safety
  • Safe equipment training
  • Able to operate loaders and all equipment
  • Must be able to work around horses
  • Some knowledge of the horse racing industry preferred
