Your Role:

• General Ledger Accounting Specialist (Sr. Accountant) responsible for operational excellence and financial integrity for assigned entities.
• Own complex accounting treatments and lead Month-End Close (MEC) orchestration with strict deadlines.
• Prepare, review, and analyze high-quality financial statements and management reports for local entity finance and Group Accounting.
• Conduct deep-dive process analysis, variance commentary, and balance sheet reviews to provide actionable insights.
• Manage high-complexity GL activities (accruals, payroll/benefits accounting, sensitive journal entries).
• Oversee reconciliation of critical, high-risk accounts and timely resolution of open items.
• Gatekeeper for GL master data integrity; ensure compliance with global charting and reporting standards.
• Serve as primary liaison for internal/external auditors; prepare audit schedules and resolve complex queries.
• Ensure adherence to SOX/ICFR, Group policies, and local statutory regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce MEC cycle times (automation, standardization, workflow simplification).
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and act as SME for ERP upgrades or GL system implementations.
• Track and report team KPIs and operational metrics.
• Act as first escalation point for complex issues; partner with CFOs/Finance Directors for swift resolutions.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with ABP, Subledger, P2P, I2C, Treasury.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior GL accountants; maintain up-to-date SOPs and training materials.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or CPA preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting Operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and tax principles.
• Shared Services Center experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems (Oracle, iScala, etc.).
• Fluent in English.
• Based in Manila (BGC, Taguig) or willing to relocate.
• Available for mid-shift / night-shift schedule (varying MEC/NON-MEC).
• Experience with VBA or other automation tools.
