ATCO Frontec is seeking a Labourer to support a short-term Facilities project in Taber, AB. This role will assist with a mechanical upgrade project at a seniors’ housing facility, including boiler and water heater replacements and associated system upgrades.

This is a project-based role providing general site support to trades and helping ensure safe and efficient execution of work. The project will be from late June to end of August.

Hourly rate: $22/hour

Where We Work and Live: ATCO Frontec provides preventative and corrective maintenance services for our customers throughout Alberta. Our maintenance teams are mobile, and travel will be required in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with site preparation and general cleanup (housekeeping)
• Load, unload, and move materials, construction debris, piping, and equipment
• Support tradespersons with project tasks (mechanical, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
• Assist with installation-related work tied to boiler, water heater, and control system upgrades
• Operate basic tools and light equipment
• Complete general labour tasks such as painting, touch-ups, and incidental service work
• Follow all safety procedures and site regulations
• Assist with material transport and disposal, including possible driving to facilities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of experience in general trades; experience in electrical construction or maintenance would be considered a strong asset.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Strong communication, teamwork, and reliability in a fast-paced project environment
