Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Grande Prairie office is actively hiring two General Labour Students to join the Gas Services Business Unit (GBU) within Pembina’s Operations Division. These positions report to the Day Foreman, Maintenance and the Day Foreman, Operations.

The Gas Services Business Unit (GBU) provides fee‑for‑service gas and liquids processing across strategic locations in Western Canada. As the largest third‑party gas processor in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, GBU plays a critical role at the front of the energy value chain, enabling integrated solutions from the wellhead to market.

The General Labour Students will provide hands‑on field and administrative support across multiple operating sites, including Musreau, Kakwa, and Patterson Creek, and will regularly drive between locations as part of their role. The work term for these roles is from May 4 to August 28th, and follows a 4 x 10 work schedule, Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Grande Prairie, AB.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Perform general labour and site support responsibilities across multiple facilities, including painting safety gates, handrails, and cement barricades; general housekeeping and site clean‑up; vegetation and brush management around pipeline risers; cleaning storage facilities; washing trucks and coordinating vehicle servicing; and supporting basic administrative and office activities;
  • Support day‑to‑day operational activities by working closely with site teams and using basic tools and equipment, site vehicles (where authorized), and standard workplace tools such as Microsoft Office;
  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
  • Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and
  • Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace by being gracious, kind, respectful, and working effectively with others.

Qualifications:

  • Role‑specific qualifications or assets include prior experience in general labour, maintenance, or industrial environments; exposure to painting, site maintenance, or environmental support work; a strong safety mindset; and willingness to travel between sites;
  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary or trades program and returning to school following the end of the work term;
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule;
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations; and
  • A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driver’s abstract is required.

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and requires Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.

You will also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
