We are hiring General Labour in Scarborough to support the launch of a new 24/7 operation. To accelerate the hiring process, the interview day will be held on July 14, allowing selected candidates to complete interviews and pre-employment steps all in one day.

What you’ll do

As a  General Labour, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. 

Your day-to-day:

• Supports machine operators with setup, adjustments, and clearing jams.
• Performs material handling and keeps machines continuously stocked.
• Coordinates order sequence, prints load tags, and prepares or closes orders.
• Conducts quality checks and identifies defects or inconsistencies.
• Reports equipment, production, or quality issues to operators or supervisors.
• Follows safety procedures (including lockout/tagout) and maintains a clean work area.
• Assists with general duties and stays attentive to customer needs. 

Your strengths as a General Labour

You are a natural fit for this role if you have:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Basic English communication skills for safety and team collaboration
• Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions and basic measurements
• Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills; manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail with quality assurance and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; people-oriented
• Ability to manage time, stay organized, work under pressure, and show initiative
