Inframark is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support construction and infrastructure projects. This position assists skilled trades personnel, prepares and maintains job sites, and ensures all work is performed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and able to thrive in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, setup, and cleanup of construction sites.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate and perform basic maintenance on construction tools and equipment as directed.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and execute assigned construction tasks.
  • Support skilled craft workers (e.g., operators, technicians, mechanics) in completing project work.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including proper material storage.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior construction or labor experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials (50+ lbs).
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and schedules.

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in outdoor construction environments and may be exposed to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Work may occur

near active roads, heavy equipment, and ongoing construction activities.

Physical Demands, Hazards, and Working Conditions

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with arms.
  • Regularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to safely navigate construction sites and equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (50+ lbs) on a consistent basis.
  • Work involves exposure to wet/humid conditions, dust, dirt, grease, and moving mechanical parts.
  • May be exposed to potentially hazardous materials or environments; use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Noise levels are typically moderate to loud depending on job site activities.
