Who We Are

Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC (the “Company”) operates a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

Who You Are

You're a safety-minded worker who can handle heavy lifting and physical tasks. You're comfortable working on uneven ground and make sure the job gets done right and safely. You're adaptable and don’t mind being outside all day, no matter the weather. You're good at communicating and solving problems, which helps you work well with others. You are focused on getting results and can finish projects without needing much supervision.

This is a safety sensitive position. As the General Laborer you report to the Drill and Blast Supervisor.

What You Do

• Distribute ore containing debris using a loader or excavator.
• Walk on uneven material to manually sort wood, metal, and other contaminants from the ore.
• Deposit contaminants into the loader bucket for disposal.
• Operate a loader and an excavator.
• Drive a 30-ton haul truck to transport stemming material for blasting.
• Collect sample bags and deliver them to the laboratory.
• Clean up trash across the property.
• Operate haul trucks or other assigned equipment.
• Assist the Drill/Blast technician.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Must prioritize safety at all times.
• Capable of climbing and descending equipment ladders multiple times per shift.
• Able to perform heavy lifting and engage in physical labor.
• Able to walk on uneven terrain for extended durations.
• Willing and able to work outdoors throughout the entire shift.
• Prepared to work in various weather conditions.
• Available to work Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday on a 10-hour shift schedule.
• Possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven, a dependable team player, and capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
