The main responsibilities of our General Labor Staff at Big Boy is to keep the food processing facility sparkling clean while preparing our soups, sauces and baked goods according to specified trademarked recipes.

General Labor Responsibilities:

• Adheres to all food recipies to insure consistency throughout our restaurants. Follows USDA guidelines for food processing, packaging, storing and shipping.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment for food storage, preparation and handling, following every health guideline and procedure at all times.

General Labor Job Skills:

• Constantly on feet, often while on slippery surfaces
• Walking in and out of refrigerated and freezer areas
• Ability to read, count, write, and follow recipes accurately
• Good mobility of fingers, hands, wrists, and elbows
• Working in hot and cold temperatures, including humid conditions
• Working with steam, hot and cold foods, and ice
• Working with a wide variety of foods and ingredients
• Sufficient strength and agility to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Good hearing, speaking, memory, math and visual skills while bending, reaching, and climbing stairs
• Working with all purpose cleaners and concentrated compounds such as acids, ammonia and caustics
