Title: General Laborer / Apprentice Machinist (Entry-Level)

Shift: 8-hour shift scheduled between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Salary: $17.00/hour, with performance and wage reviews every 90 days for the first year and merit-based increases as new technical skills are acquired

General Laborer / Apprentice Machinist Role:

Our client is seeking a motivated individual to perform essential hands-on shop tasks while training to master advanced trade skills. This role exists to maintain a clean, efficient workspace and support production while developing into a skilled precision tooling fabricator.

General Laborer / Apprentice Machinist Responsibilities:

• Perform sandblasting on finished diamond tooling pieces to meet quality standards
• Assist with general shop maintenance, organization, and cleaning to ensure a safe work environment
• Load, unload, and move manufacturing materials safely around the shop floor
• Support experienced machinists and technicians with production prep work and day-to-day operations
• Follow strict safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment at all times
• Participate actively in on-the-job training for specialized manufacturing equipment and machining tools

General Laborer / Apprentice Machinist Reporting Relationships:

The candidate will report directly to the Shop Foreman or Production Supervisor and will not have any direct reports.

• Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to work with your hands
• Maintain a dependable, punctual attendance record and a strong work ethic
• Possess a positive, coachable attitude with strong communication skills
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for long periods of time during the shift
• Show a strong willingness to learn precision brazing, tool assembly, and blueprint reading
• Commit to long-term career growth and skill development within a specialized manufacturing environment
