Job Description

An opportunity exists for a physically fit, versatile handy person to join our team at our Depot located in Kenwick! The successful applicant must be an all-rounder willing to assist in ensuring the grounds and maintenance of the Depot are of a high standard.

To be considered for this position, you must show you have had experience in a similar role.

Your Duties Include

  • Container Unpacking.
  • Grounds Keeping;
  • Use of the Yard Sweeper;
  • Rubbish removal;
  • Pressure cleaning and hosing;
  • Undertake routine repairs, cleaning and maintenance of the facilities;
  • General skill set for maintenance work required;
  • Manual handling of freight;
  • General property maintenance;
  • Following safe operating procedures and complying with company policy.

To Be Considered for This Role.

  • Forklift Licence (highly desirable)
  • Experience in Transport and Logistics is highly regarded.
  • Be relatively fit as manual handling is required;
  • Honest, reliable, prompt and punctual;
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Experience in general maintenance type roles – Trades background will be highly regarded;
  • Ability to read and write and understand units of measure;
  • Have your own car licence, suitable vehicle and tools;
  • WH&S White card – preferable;
  • Basic administration skills;
  • Be flexible and accept changes to days of work and be available to work additional days if required;
  • Have a commitment to safe work practices.
