Audubon is currently seeking a General Foreman. The General Foreman manages the efficient flow and operations for multiple foreman and their crews throughout the scope of the project
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret and communicate contract documents, drawings, and specifications to crews.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily self-perform work activities.
- Lead and direct foremen and craft workers to meet production, quality, and schedule goals.
- Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, and material needs with the Superintendent.
- Track daily production and report progress, constraints, and manpower needs.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance, including LOTO procedures.
- Conduct daily job hazard analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks.
- Prepare, review, distribute and/or maintain all required installation documentation.
- Ensure all work performed meets federal, state, county, local codes, and contract documents.
- Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in proper working conditions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain quality control of installed work and address deficiencies.
- Interface with other trades, subcontractors, and field supervision.
- Mentor and develop foremen and craft employees.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
- All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
- Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
- Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
- Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Five years' experience in the construction industry.
- Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
- Construction safety practices.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
- MUST have Commercial Driving License.
