Facilities Assistant
Hours: Up to 37.5, dependent on the needs of the business
Work pattern: Including weekends, bank holidays and evenings
Duration: Permanent – Zero Hour Contract
West Midlands Safari Park are currently recruiting for the position of Facilities Assistant.
This exciting role will include litter picking, general tidying, sweeping and tidying of guest and staff areas along with guest car parking duties. This role is essential for the day-to-day maintenance of high standards on site and includes helping with the presentation of our Park.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude and will be willing to work hard to give our guests the best day possible. We offer fantastic on the job training to ensure you grow and develop your skill set, helping you build some excellent career-based experiences.
You will need to be flexible in your approach to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
A driving licence would be advantageous, but not essential for candidate selection.

What we are
We are an award-winning visitor attraction, located in Worcestershire in the heart of England. It is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and critically endangered species, with a four-mile safari drive-through, walk-through Discovery Trail, African Village and Lemur Woods, as well beautiful walking trails, allowing guests to experience up close encounters with hundreds of exotic animals.
Guests can also choose from a wide range of catering and retail outlets, as well as enjoying a large amusement area with over 25 rides and attractions providing the ideal venue for family days out.
In 2021, the Park introduced Safari Lodges – luxury accommodation allowing guests to stay overnight for the first time. Guests can wake up to incredible sights of elephants, giraffe, rhino and red panda, or sleep just a ‘whisker’ away from lions, tigers and cheetahs.
In addition, the park is home to three incredible venues – Spring Grove House, Treetops Pavillion and Cellarz, which play host to weddings, corporate events and social celebrations.
