The GES- Chief Electrician will take on the responsibility to assist with compliance elated to regulatory stipulations, reducing operational risk and injury. You will take on the responsibility for competence management and authorisation of all electricians and will be involved in electrical engineering projects.

Thungela Resources [Thungela means “to ignite” in isiZulu] is a leading South African thermal coal business, focused exclusively on thermal coal production. It is one of the largest pure-play producers and exporters of thermal coal in South Africa based on aggregate coal reserves and marketable coal production. Thungela focuses on exporting its thermal coal portfolio mainly to the Indian, Asian, Southeast Asian, Middle East and North African markets.
You will take on the responsibility to ensure safe work practises, a safe working environment and ensure that legal requirements and group working standards and policies related to Electrical Engineering are implemented and are adhered to. You will also be required to conduct equipment failure analysis, root cause analysis, best practises, and repair strategies to ensure optimal use.
