Tesserais seekingan organizedGeneral Clerkllwith a positive and professional attitude. The General Clerk II compiles and records work order data relating to labor, parts, and quality control, and other aspects such as vehicle tracking and customerservice

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Sort and distribute work orders and compile data for labor calculations.

  • Collect all data foraccurateshop operations.

  • Maintainaccuraterecords in IBM Maximo and pull data for reporting to the government via Maximo.

  • Maintainaccurateservice records both digitally and manually.

  • Verify andmonitorproduction reports for accuracy.

  • Research, initiate, draft, and complete pre-printed service packets for assigned/designated customers equipment serviced.

  • Update work order statuses accurately and in real time results in customer readiness and satisfaction.

  • Communicates consistently with the shop leads and mechanicsregardingany issues or concerns with vehicles/work orders (i.e., parts inventory, installing parts, status change).

  • Works hand in hand with Scheduler to prioritize assets to ensure the highest level of readiness in support of the fleet managment staff.

  • Ensure thatthe type and quantity of parts and materials specifiedonthe job order are correct and filled according to priority.

  • Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure continuity of operations.

  • Support on-site inspections bi-weekly as coordinated and approved by Operations Supervisor.

  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor, ensures company rules, regulations, and policies are followed to include Safety, Fire and Security regulations.

  • Provideadditionalsupport to Schedulers asrequiredand whereappropriate

  • Providecustomer support atthe customerservice desk.

  • Ensure compliance with the quality assurance programs.

Qualifications: 

  • Highschool Diploma/GED isrequired

  • Minimum 3 years of related experiencein transportation.

  • Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in computer programs, including MS Word, Excel, Preferred SAMS/FEDLOG/MARINE CORPSSYSTEMSandInternet Explorer

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to50pounds.

  • May berequiredto reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also berequired

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

  • A valid state driver’s license isrequiredwith the ability to obtain andmaintaincoverage byTessera’sinsurance.
