Job Description:

Job Purpose

As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling components, and maintaining production quality standards in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of parts to OEM customers as part of an automotive supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Assemble automotive components and sub-assemblies to defined specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure product conformity.
  • Follow standardised work instructions and maintain accurate production records as required.
  • Support daily production targets and cycle time goals, reporting any delays or issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area (5S compliance).
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, quality circles, etc.).
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Handle parts and materials responsibly to prevent damage or waste.
  • Rotate through different workstations as needed based on operational demand.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly role (automotive industry preferred).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and gauges.
  • Comfortable working in a physically active role with standing, bending, and lifting up to 40kg.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends or overtime if required.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a high-performance environment.
  • Awareness of lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced production floor environment.
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is mandatory.
  • Shift work may include early mornings, evenings, or night shifts depending on operational needs.
